Introduction

Hesteggi is a popular hiking destination in the Sogndal region and is typically hiked from Kjørnes. The path runs through the forest all the way to the top, and briefly touches the tractor road from Kaupanger.

There are not really many good options for a round-trip hike, if you want to follow paths. If you don't mind finding your own way, anything is possible...

Hesteggi is not a typical skiing mountain and not so much visited during winter.
