Today, I wanted to show Anne "Bukketrappa" on Kongsvollen. Before the hike, I made two assumptions; a) there was probably not too much snow on the ridge, and b) we would have blue sky above when we reached the top. I was wrong on both accounts. Well, there was probably blue sky above us, but we didn't see it...
My usual short-cut up to the ridge wasn't more or less strenuous than I had expected it to be, but I would never have guessed the amount of snow on this - otherwise windy - ridge. On several occasions, the snow was knee-deep, if not even more. The ascent was strenuous, it was cold and it was windy, but at the same time - just brilliant!
