Harøyburet is the highest point on Harøya island and in Sandøy kommune (municipality). The top is located on the south side of the Harøya island, and several paths lead to the top. This web page will describe a route from the southwest. The hike to the top only takes 15-20 minutes. You have a clear view towards Otrøya, Midøya, Skuløya/Flemsøya and the mountains surrounding Brattvåg.
In order to reach Harøya by car, you have to take the Brattvåg - Dryna - Fjørtofta - Harøya ferry. Check the ferry schedule at fjord1.no. You can also reach the island on a passenger vessel.
Harøyburet (Norge 1:50,000: 156m, Økonomisk Kartverk: 156,23m, UTM 32 V 369667 6959090) has a primary factor of 156m, being the island high point.

The route
Follow the path up the hill. The path initially runs directly towards Harøyburet, but turns right below the cliff and comes up via the south ridge. The summit is marked by a cairn and a trigonometric point. There is also an antenna on top.
You have the option to include Blåhammaren, also known as Litle Harøyburet (350m to the southeast) upon your descent. A path runs from the top of Harøyburet to Blåhammaren, and returns just below Harøyburet.
