Norwegian Mountains, Møre og RomsdalNew Year's Eve on Høgenakken, Dec 31 2007Back to the main Høgenakken page.
This was my first hike under the influence of alcohol. That won't happen again. Although it was just a 25 minute walk from home, it was indeed tiresome. With a dog in the backpack, I tried to keep balance on the icy slopes, while carrying a camera on a tripod. Balance failed me now and then, more because of the ice than the fluids I had enjoyed with my neighbour Pål. The falls were quite gracious. I tipped over and fell into the bush, like a statue being pushed over by a crowd. Slow and silent... Høgenakken was crowded. Like most of the other Ålesund viewpoints. 9,2Km to the west, buddy Olav and his family was watching the fireworks from Sukkertoppen. It was fun to be up here and grab some of the fireworks onto disc. Little Troll didn't make a sound from the backpack. He doesn't seem to take a big notice of the action. |
