Hommelvikheia

Introduction
Hommelvikheia (aka Storheia) is located between Hommelvik and Stjørdal. It is the highest point between Stormyra and Stjørdalsfjorden. The top is easily reached along a forest road from Furan.

Primary factor:
Hommelvikheia (Norge 1:50,000: -, Økonomisk Kartverk: high contour: 330 meters - interpolated to 331m, UTM 32 V 592654 7034353) has a primary factor of 163m towards the higher parent mountain Svuluskardet (364m). The defining saddle (approx. UTM 32 V 593028 7032376) is found on Stormyra. Ref. Økonomisk Kartverk (5m contours), the saddle is with the range 165-170m, interpolated to 168m.

Route 1: Furan - Hommelvikheia

Access
(all distances are approx. distances)
This route description begins at Stjørdal, east of Trondheim. From E6 Follow signs towards highway RV705 (Selbu) and you arrive at a roundabout (N63.45124 E10.91563). From here, drive as follows;
- Drive 350 meters south to another roundabout (N63.44836 E10.91449). Go straight through.
- Cross the Stjørdalselva river on a bridge
- Turn right onto highway RV705
- Drive under the bridge and continue east on RV705.
- Drive 3,8km, then turn right. This junction is not signposted. N63.41682 E10.93241.
- Drive 1,7km to the houses at Furan. Continue 0,4km until you reach a gate. Park here - N63.42122 E10.87998.

Follow the forest road
for 1,8km. The road forks. Turn right and proceed to
the high point(N63.42560 E10.85648) which is straight ahead.
