Haddalshornet, Oct 28 2009

Haddalshornet was a fun walk this evening. I ascended the steep Klungsgylet route in utter darkness - only guided by the moonlight and a headlamp with weak batteries. I had some problems in finding the entry point, but once in the gully, the direction was obvious.

The grass was frozen, the rocks were icy and the ice-axe was a treasured companion. The summit was cold, but beautiful and then friend called, whom I hadn't spoken with in years.

Huldrehornet, Oct 30 2009

While the whole neighbourhood was out partying on some kind of halloween event, I visited Huldrehornet and had big fun in scrambling the "back side" of the mountain.
