Klempertåsen (not the closest hill top)

Introduction
Klempertåsen is a popular forest top, located just above Elnesvågen - the administrative centre in Fræna municipality. The distance to the top is only 1km (according to the route described on this page), and you'll get there fast - along a tractor road and a forest path.

Primary factor:
Klempertåsen (Norge 1:50,000: 198m, Økonomisk Kartverk: 198,13m, UTM 32 V 403835 6970893) has a primary factor of approx. 135m towards the higher parent mountain Høgheitinden to the east. The defining saddle (approx. 32 V 404790 6971070) is found along the road between Skjellbreia and Elnesvågen. Ref. Økonomisk Kartverk (5m contours), the saddle is in the range 60-65m, interpolated as 63m.

Access

This route description starts at the the place Elnesvågen - the main administrative centre in Fræna municipality.
2,7km west of the Hauglia junction in the centre of Elnesvågen, locate the Møbelringen building and find parking there (N62.85268 E7.12112).

Follow a tractor road (signposted "Klempertåsen") upwards for 0,6km to the top of the forest ridge. Turn left onto a forest path (N62.85560 E7.11705) and follow this path 0,4km to the summit (N62.85543 E7.11061 - not marked).
