Nesnakken is a low forest hill, located south of Lake Engsetdalsvatnet. A tractor road takes you up to the forest below the top, and a path takes you through the forest. A communication mast is found 80m east of the unmarked high point. The views are limited, but you get a panorama view towards the higher Haram mountains.
Nesnakken (Norge 1:50,000: 196m, Økonomisk Kartverk: -, UTM 32 V 379596 6935247) has a primary factor of 128m towards the higher parent Nihusen (438m). The defining saddle (approx. 32 V 379372 6934580) is found in a valley between Nesnakken and Nihusen. Ref. Økonomisk Kartverk (5m contours), the saddle is within the range 65-70m, interpolated to 68m.
On Økonomisk Kartverk, point 194m is north of the high point. GPS measured 90m over a 2-minute period, with a +/- 5m error margin.

Access
From Ålesund, follow highway E136->E39 towards Åndalsnes. From the E16/E39/Olsvika roundabout near Breivka, follow E39 13,3Km. Turn left onto highway RV661 (Skodje/Brattvåg/Vatne). Pay toll at an unmanned toll booth (coins + credit cards, AutoPass) 4,6Km after you left E39, turn right onto an unsigned gravel road. 50m ahead on the main road, you see signs to "Vatne/Ellingsøya/Vigra".
Follow the gravel road 1,4Km. You should now have just passed a turnout on the right-hand side, seemingly a place where larger vehicles turn around. On your left-hand side, you see a road leading up to a house. The tractor road begins by this house. The gravel road continues to- and ends at Nes.
The route
Follow the tractor road all the way until it ends in a pine forest. Ignore a road forking off to the left before the pine forest. A path, marked by ribbons in trees, takes you up to the communication mast. Turn left (west) and follow a vague path 80m up to the unmarked high point on the south side of the forest ridge. Descend your ascent route.
