Trip notes, Apr 11 2006

A fine evening walk together with my colleague Terje and my dog "Troll". We headed out from Alnes 15:35PM and reached the top 17:00PM. We ran into soft and cumbersome snow at the northeast end of Lake Alnesvatnet, but got firmer snow higher up. The views were brilliant, with a special light above the Sykkylven mountains.

We headed down Storhornet's southwest ridge and instead of strugglig with the snow on the western shore, we took our (qualified) chances on the (partly) frozen lake. We were back at the trailhead 18:15 after a 6,7Km long hike. My dog walked all the way - no small feat for small feet, so to speak...
