This
gorgeous spring day, it was the perfect time to introduce my Swedish colleague
Mattias to
Sukkertoppen and the Trollråsa route. I especially looked forward to the hike, as this
would be my first (and - without knowing this at the time - only) hike up Trollråsa in 2009.
Without having
any scientific proof of this, I do believe that parts of this route will make 2
out 10 people
uncomfortable. And I
also believe that picking these 2 from any group of 10 is virtually impossible.
Therefore, I'm always curious as to how people I bring along will respond to Trollråsa. I had warned Mattias about some airy sections, but he
didn't seem to be easily intimidated. And he
scrambled the route without any difficulties...

It
was indeed good to be back in Trollråsa. We took a long break by the mailbox and
talked with other hikers passing by. It's very nice to see this route also being
used by others. On top of the "advanced" route, Mattias had to "follow
procedure", which means to balance across the rock-with-the-hole-under, and then
creep through the very same rock. Did I sense a slightly surprised look
in his face? I guess I will never know..
